The windscreen for ORTF pairs (or ORTF + central microphone)

Access to the microphones is provided by removing the front part of the cage (secured with four clips). The rail-mounted suspensions allow for stepless adjustment of the distance and angle between the capsules.

The ALBERT allows the following stereo microphone configurations:

• AB Pair ORTF: 2 x cardioids, 17 cm, 110°
• XY Pair: 2 x cardioids, 90° (pseudo-coincident)
• Special Pairs (e.g., hypercardioid, max. 20 cm, 90°, or AB Omni: 2 x omni, max. 20 cm)

Three-channel applications are also possible with the AL-TRI.

This version is by no means to be considered an academic “LCR” system, but rather represents the integration of an ORTF pair and a central channel in one unit. ORTF or mono can then be selected in post-production. The central module is removable, allowing for an XY configuration.

Dual-axis swivel joint (Z-SW-Base)

To ensure the correct alignment of the stereo pair in any situation, ALBERT is equipped with a dual-axis swivel joint, which features a single clamp (similar to the Zephyx) and allows for quick adjustment at all angles, whether on a boom pole or a stand.

Cabling:

• AL-ORTF: 5-pin XLRM (1: ground, 2/3: +/- left channel, 4/5: +/- right channel)
• AL-TRI: 7-pin XLRM (1: ground, 2/3: +/- left channel, 4/5: +/- center channel, 6/7: +/- right channel)
