Cinela ZEPHYX windshield - mono

The ZEPHYX is distinguished by being the only windshield from the CINELA brand with a removable cage, which has a large volume and therefore allows a quick switch between indoor and outdoor use.

With a general ovoid shape, much shorter than PIANO and PIANISSIMO, ZEPHYX was originally designed for a small MS pair of Schoeps CCM4/CCM8 and was later adapted to a wide range of other mono, MS, Double MS, or specific microphones (XY, Ambisonic, etc.).

Equipped with its long-haired fur, its shape becomes more spherical and therefore a little less “readable” for a boom operator who needs precise visual aiming when recording mono at the end of a long pole. In this case, it is recommended to choose a windshield from the PIANO, PIANISSIMO, or COSI series! However, its large diameter (18 cm) provides superior wind protection when using short mono microphones (less than 10-12 cm) that are placed in the center of the windshield.

ZEPHYX mono variants:

• Z-OSIX-1: with suspension set X-SET-1 for Neumann system KM100+KK, KM 184/185 or system KMA+KK 184/185
• Z-OSIX-2: with suspension X-SET-2 set for Schoeps CMC 
• Z-MKH8000: with suspension for 8040/8050 XLR version

A ZEPHYX set consists of:

• A cage, the suspension block, and the complete wiring corresponding to the configuration of the microphone(s).
• Primary fabric, usable in light wind or indoor environments.
• Choose an accompanying fur: SP (short hair fur) or LP (long hair fur), in black, gray, or black/gray. The fur color will be individually requested after the order.
• A carrying case to store the windshield, the fur, and possibly additional output cables.
