The input section features unique servo bias input circuitry with a standard TA5M jack for use with electret lavalier mics, dynamic mics, or line-level signals. A DSP-controlled analog audio limiter is applied before the A/D converter. The limiter provides over 30 dB of range for excellent overload protection. With a dual release envelope, the limiter remains acoustically transparent with low distortion. It recovers quickly from brief transients without audible side effects and slowly from sustained high levels, maintaining low distortion while preserving short-term dynamics.
