The MKH 8018 is specifically designed for high-end broadcast and film productions. Its precisely tuned frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz prevents unwanted interference from ultrasonic lens measurement systems and avoids overloading the mixer with inaudible low or high-frequency noise.
Flexible Stereo Options – No External Matrix Required
Thanks to its integrated matrix circuitry, the MKH 8018 can output a ready-to-use LR stereo signal – ideal for mobile applications. Alternatively, an MS stereo signal is available for professional post-production workflows. The stereo width is switchable to adapt to the recording environment:
- MS-Stereo
- XY-W (wide): wider stereo image with more ambient sound
- XY-N (narrow): tighter stereo focus with reduced ambient noise
Included in delivery:
- MZQ 100 microphone clamp
- MZW 8018 windscreen
- Rugged plastic transport tube
Optional accessories include the MZR 8000 camera adapter, the MZS 20-1 suspension/pistol grip, the MZW 60-1 basket windscreen, and the MZH 60-1 furry windscreen – perfect for outdoor use.
