QP5 cable kits – internal cabling for retrofitting, side cable outlet

With a cable kit, you can retrofit your QuickPole Series 5 with internal cabling. A removable tip and the plug-in end piece make retrofitting child's play – no soldering required: simply feed the pre-assembled cable through the boom pole from the top and plug it in at the rear end, done. Our video tutorial shows you how.

Each kit consists of the pre-assembled cable and the screw-on end piece with side cable outlet. The end piece is available for right-angle and straight plugs; it also fits older models – in case you want to upgrade a QuickPole you already own.

Variants

The kits are available for every length of the Series 5, balanced in mono (XLR 3-pin) or stereo (XLR 5-pin). Up to the QP5130 you can choose between a coiled and a straight cable; for the QP5150 there is the straight cable.

There are separate cable kits for the bottom cable outlet. Ready-cabled, the Series 5 is available as the cabled boom pole with side cable outlet. For boom poles with a coiled cable and side cable outlet, there is also the QAPL-TX: with this set consisting of a boom pole adapter and a short adapter cable, you can attach a plug-on transmitter parallel to the tube.

Why cables by Ambient?

Quite simply: because they are better. We rely on premium quality and high-end material.

Better shielding: Instead of the usual wrapped shield, we use a braided shield wherever possible. It is denser and therefore shields better against interference.

Greater stability: Instead of PVC – as is common with cheap cables – we use polyurethane wherever possible. Even after frequent coiling and uncoiling, plug and cable will not break off.
