QuickPole Counterweight – the stackable, screw-on counterweight

The QuickPole Counterweight attaches directly to the rear end of a QuickPole Series 5 or QuickPole Slim: simply remove the rubber bumper and screw the counterweight onto the built-in thread – no tools required.

Less strain through lever physics

More weight, less effort – it sounds counterintuitive, but that's exactly what a counterweight does. The weight at the rear end of the boom pole balances out the windshield and transmitter at the front end. The result: noticeably less strain on your arms and shoulders, especially during long takes.

Stack it your way

Each counterweight weighs around a pound and has a thread on both ends. This lets you combine and stack several weights as needed.

Integrated 3/8" thread

The integrated 3/8" thread opens up a second use: mount the boom pole on a stand plate and use it as a slim plant mic setup.

Good to know

For non-cabled boom poles only: The counterweights currently only fit the non-cabled boom poles, not the cabled versions. The reason: the counterweight uses the same thread as the end piece of the cable outlet.

Rubber bumper on the QuickPole Slim: The counterweight has a diameter of 35 mm, which is wider than the 30 mm tube of the QuickPole Slim. The original rubber bumper of the Slim therefore no longer fits once the counterweight is attached. For this, there is the CW-QPslim-P35 set with a 35 mm rubber bumper, or the 35 mm rubber bumper (A02820) on its own.

Stacking on the QuickPole Slim: The second counterweight must be the Series 5 version (CW-QP5), because the outer thread of the first counterweight matches the QP5 standard. The “Stacking Advice” picture in the product images shows the order.
