QuickPole Slim – carbon fiber boom pole with four sections

The QuickPole Slim is the slim version of our QuickPole Series 5: four instead of five sections, a thinner tube and less weight.

Why a Slim Edition?

Our regular QuickPole Series 5 is very popular – and yet we heard from customers who loved our old 4-section QS line. The QuickPole Slim grew out of the request for a thinner version of the QP5. A special thanks goes to veteran boom operator Allen Williams from Sound Speeds for his input during the design process.

Compared to the regular QuickPole Series 5, the Slim Edition differs in the following points:

• Thinner diameter (30 mm instead of 34 mm)
• Lighter (one section less)
• Black tip

Key Features

Special carbon fiber compound

The QuickPole Slim is made of our custom-developed carbon fiber compound with an additional layer of UHM fibers. Thanks to this technology, it is very sturdy and very lightweight at the same time.

Easy extending and collapsing

On set, you have to work fast. With a low-maintenance, durable counter bearing made of Teflon, felt and silicone lubricant, the tubes of the boom pole are particularly easy to extend and collapse. Additional safety: even when a lock is loose, the sections do not retract by themselves but stay where they are.

Secure locks

With just a quarter turn, the boom pole is locked rock-solid, and lateral twisting is completely prevented. The long handle sleeves give you a secure grip with their finely knurled surface.

Easy to maintain

For us, the durability of our QuickPoles also means that you can maintain the boom pole yourself. That is why we developed the QuickPole Maintenance Kit.

Accessories

With our cable kits, you can retrofit the QuickPole Slim with internal cabling – with a coiled or straight cable and without soldering. Ready-cabled, it is available as the QuickPole Slim with side cable outlet.

With the screw-on, stackable QuickPole Counterweight, you balance out the windshield and transmitter at the front end – this takes the strain off your arms and shoulders, especially during long takes. There is a dedicated version for the QuickPole Slim, also as a set with the matching 35 mm rubber bumper. The counterweight only fits non-cabled boom poles, because it uses the same thread as the end piece of the cable outlet.

To transport your boom pole safely, we offer the Ambient Boom Case and boom pole bags. The ABC-123 fits the QP Slim Short, the ABC-172 the QP Slim Long. Other accessories such as the QuickLok, clamps and adapters are also available from us.

More Information

We give a 2-year warranty on Ambient QuickPole boom poles. Spare parts are available from us in the long term, and on request we also take care of maintenance and repair for you.

Caution: Carbon fiber is electrically conductive. Keep your boom pole away from power lines.
