The ZMT4 has a wide power range that covers almost all professional analog microphones - 5 V lavalier microphones as well as condenser, balanced dynamic or ribbon microphones that are operated at 12, 24, 36 or 48 V.
It is available in the following frequency bands:
ZMT4.5 (512-608 MHz)
ZMT4.6 (578-698 MHz)
The ZMT4 has a better battery life than its predecessor. A single NP-50 Pro battery provides up to 7 hours of runtime with a lavalier microphone at 5V and up to 5 hours with a boom microphone at 12-48V.
ENCRYPTED AUDIO
The ZMT4 transmits with 100% digital modulation so that the audio can be fully encrypted. Digital encryption is the only way to keep all audio transmissions private. Digital transmission also offers better audio quality than any analog system.
MICROPHONE PREAMPLIFIER
The ZMT4 features a completely new preamplifier design. The preamp and A-D combination now utilizes NeverClip™ on both lav and balanced boom microphones so that the ambient and inherent noise of the microphone are the dominant noise components.
NEVERCLIP™
NeverClip™ is available in all modes of the ZMT4. It uses two A-D converters to extend the transmitter's dynamic range to 136 dB, eliminating distortion caused by limiters.
INTERNAL RECORDING
Audio is simultaneously transmitted and recorded on a removable microSD card. It uses the highly reliable MARF (Mobile Audio Recording Format), which prevents file corruption that can occur during recording due to a dead battery or premature removal of the card.
ZAXNET™.
The ZMT4 is equipped with ZaxNet™, a long-range remote control system that allows the user to change the frequency, pre-amplification, sleep mode and set the internal recorder to record, play and stop mode - all without disturbing the talent.
MODULATION OPTIONS FOR YOUR ENVIRONMENT
Range always depends on your environment, but you have the choice to optimize transmission for peak performance. Zaxcom High Density Modulation (ZHD) increases the number of available channels from 4 to 9 per 1 MHz
